Luxonic ready to illuminate IntraLogisteX

Luxonic, the UK’s foremost designer of lighting solutions, is preparing to showcase the HI-MAX® LED range to a variety of big-name companies at the IntralogisteX exhibition this March. The range has been developed especially for production facilities and warehouse racking, providing huge energy savings through its sustainable design and intelligent controls.

The high-powered suspended HI-MAX® is purported to be the leading sustainable solution for open area and racking due to its ultra energy efficient high bay LED design. High output LED for Open Area and Racking range from 10,250 lumens to 41,400, with a LED life of up to 60,000 hours L90 . HI-MAX® can be either suspended or surface mounted at heights of up to 15 metres, and a presence detector means fittings can be set to switch between full to dimmed output dependent on when warehouse space is occupied.

Already in use in Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Hull Terminal, Luxonic were able to install a system that met the energy demands of its 24-hour warehouse facility. An initial trial period demonstrated a substantial 96 per cent reduction in energy usage, and Luxonic’s full energy evaluation service included the calculation of ABP’s return on investment from the savings.

In addition to the ABP’s terminal, HI-MAX® now illuminates the Manchester warehouse of Amazon and the Warrington base of The Hut Group. Also suitable for non-warehouse settings, Pets at Home selected the range for its stores nationwide.

Luxonic’s HI-MAX® range combines highly efficient, cost-reducing LED with technological innovation, moving warehousing into the digital age. Wireless versions are available, with DALI dimmable drivers offered as standard. Both systems cut energy output and save costs, using daylight linking to monitor the natural light contribution to illumination levels and automatically adjust luminaire output. Wireless versions, with transceiver modules in each light, allow real-time energy performance monitoring accessible via the Cloud, from any location at any time. Motion detection and daylight sensor data can also be backed up to the Cloud.
