With an aspirational vision to create an elite residential development for London, developer Berkeley sought out Luxonic for its riverside project, One Tower Bridge. Apartments within the Thames complex cost upwards of £1 million each, so the developer needed a designer that could deliver a solution in keeping with the iconic status and city views on offer.
Designing with communal areas in mind, Luxonic recommended the use of over 3,000 metres of corridor lighting, generated by its LED Slimlux solution. The Slimlux 80 range of linear downlight luminaires was developed specifically for the prestigious project to ensure continuous lines of light fitting exact dimensions. In addition, Luxonic supplied their Ethernet2DALI lighting control system for 8 of the 9 buildings in the complex, including corridors, stairs, reception areas, offices, meeting rooms, Luxury Spa, Gym and Car Park with concealed microwave sensors in high finish areas.
Thanks to Luxonic’s ability to develop a product in tandem with One Tower Bridge’s architects, Berkeley gained a flawless solution, every bit as opulent as their iconic home. With an extensive product lifetime, Luxonic’s luminaires will continue to light the London skyline for years to come.
